Unmarried Alberta shares an apartment with her mother Weedy who finds solace for her troubles in religion. Their constant visitor is the sporty and down on his gambling luck, Uncle Do, who is the despair of his strait-laced sister, Weedy. Wandering street singer, Blind Jordan searches for a woman he once knew but meets Alberta, Weedy’s daughter!
