33rd Summer Youth Arts Institute

More than 500 youth ages 10-18 take crash courses in Music, Dance, Theatre, Costume Design, Make-Up, Lighting, Stage Management, Photography and Film Production, culminating in a large, full-scale, musical theatre production, PRINCE: THE MUSICAL, based on the life and music of the world iconic artist. The show is an annual family treat performed to consistent standing-room only audiences. Student scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Supported in part by the Dallas Independent School District Summer Enrichment Program, Big Thought, Dallas’ Office of Cultural Affairs and BNSF Railway. Registration closes June 8, 2017.

Classes are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, June 5-June 24.
