Greetings and felicitations from The Black Academy of Arts and Letters (TBAAL)!

In season 31, we’re extremely elated to present a selection of the most exciting programs involving some of the greatest talent the country has to offer! You’ll experience genius from both our young emerging artists performing in the CHILDREN’S YOUTH STRING ORCHESTRA AND CHORUS as well as seasoned professionals like Tony, Image and Grammy Award Winners ERYKAH BADU, MICKI GRANT, OLETA ADAMS AND LINDA HOPKINS.

In season 31, we’re anxious for the cameras to click and the lights to shine on the corner of Canton and Akard streets in downtown Dallas, Texas. We’ll roll out the red carpet for our patrons to stroll into TBAAL’s doors so that they can be wined and dined while enjoying some of the best music, theatre, dance, films, spoken word, comedy and visual arts exhibitions on the Third Cultural Coast. Our board, staff and volunteers are waiting to delight you!

In season 31, we urge you to get your tickets now and claim your seats to see some of the finest and most exciting African, Caribbean and African-American entertainment at one of Dallas’ cultural hot spots! Tickets are on sale now at the TBAAL Box Office for all shows except the touring productions. We especially encourage our members to take advantage of the many discounts and members-only perks offered throughout the season.

In season 31, we recognize that our season sponsors, members and patrons help to keep our doors swinging open.

It would be hard to top Season 30, one of TBAAL’s best, but we think Season 31 will be even better
