This extended exhibition chronicles the cultural and artistic
contributions made by the many great African-American artists
and scholars who have been a part of The Black Academy of Arts
and Letters’ (TBAAL) history. See vintage and contemporary
photographs, film footage, institutional documents, oral histories,
celebrity memorabilia and archival ephemera. Rarely does
one get the opportunity to absorb living history that is informative,
encouraging, inspiring and educational. Grab the youth and bring
them to share in this one-on-one educational experience.
